Job summary

We are seeking an Emergency Medicine Physician to cover a locums assignment in Apopka, Florida. The role involves working in a modern freestanding ED with access to comprehensive specialty and inpatient support through an affiliated Level II Trauma Center.

The candidate should be Board Certified/Eligible in EM with ABEM/AOBEM or Board Certified in Family Medicine with extensive ED experience, and hold PALS and ACLS certifications. ATLS is preferred.

Qualifications

• Board certification in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM) or Family Medicine with extensive ED experience.
• PALS and ACLS required; ATLS preferred.
• Strong ability to manage high-acuity patients in a Level II trauma system.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 emergency care in a freestanding ED.
• Stabilize and transfer patients requiring higher acuity care to the Level II Trauma Center.
• Collaborate with trauma surgeons, hospitalists, and specialists for inpatient admissions.
