Job summary

Odyssey Locums seeks an experienced locum anesthesiologist to support a busy surgery center near Roanoke, VA. Start ASAP with a 4–5 day week; cases begin at 7:30 a.m. (7:00 a.m.

in pediatric rooms). No call on weekends or holidays and an 8-hour guarantee, though days may run longer due to high demand. We require Virginia licensure, with a focus on regional anesthesia and team leadership alongside four CRNAs and two physicians.

Qualifications

• Virginia license or eligibility required.
• Board-certified in Anesthesiology with current credentials.
• Ability to work in a high-volume busy surgery center and perform regional anesthesia.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care for Endo, Eyes, Ortho, some plastics, GI, ENT, and Peds cases.
• Collaborate with CRNAs and physicians to run a busy center.
• Start times 7:30, or 7am if in pediatric room; maintain 8 hr guarantee with longer days.

Locum Anesthesiologists needed to start ASAP and work ongoing near Roanoke, VA. VA license required.

• Start Date: July 2026
• Dates: 4-5 days per week
• Schedule: Monday - Friday: Cases start 7:30, 7am or earlier if in peds room
• 8 hr guarantee but days are going to be longer, very busy surgery center
• At least a 40 hr week if they are giving full time
• Call: No call, weekends, or holidays
• EMR: Paper
• Cases: Endo, Eyes, Ortho, some plastics, GI, ENT, Peds comfortable, proficient providers for ENT and eyes
• 5 points of service per day, 4 CRNAs, 2 Doc - Docs that are capable - proficient in regional anesthesia, knows how to run a busy center
• Credentialing timeframe: 45 days
• $2000 referral bonus received for any referral who works 30 days.
• $Competitive Rate weeknight call + Premium if called in, Weekend Call equals 6 Regular Hours Per Day + Premium When Called In.
