Job summary

Odyssey Locums is seeking locum anesthesiologists to cover a series of ongoing cases near Boston, VA. Licensure in Virginia preferred; position includes summer coverage with multiple specified weeks and potential call duties.

Expect 10-hour day shifts in a 4-room facility with general, orthopedic, and urology cases. Credentialing is 90 days, and there is a competitive hourly rate with housing, car rental, gas, parking, and malpractice tail coverage included.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia for scheduled general, orthopedic, and urology cases.
• Work with 4 operating rooms; maintain patient safety and anesthesia records.
• Be available for on-call duties as needed, with light beeper calls.

June 8-12 (7a-5p)

June 29- July 3rd (7a-5p) With Call if possible

August 10th to 14th (preferer with call) and Weekend call 15th and 16th

August 17th to 21st

August 31st to September 4th

September 7th to September 11th

September 21st to September 25th

September 28th to October 2nd

• Shift Times: Required: 10 hrs.
• Day Shift: Required.
• Weeknight - On Call (Pager): Preferred.
• Weekend - On Call (Pager): Preferred.
• Holiday (Call): Preferred.
• OT: Not expected but offered.
• Cases: General, Ortho, Be Regional Proficient.
• Required Specialty: General, Ortho, Urology.
• Board Certification Required: Yes.
• Willing to Accept Candidates Needing to Obtain State License: Yes.
• Site Charting System: Epic.
• Number of Anesthesia Rooms: 4.
• Are MDs supervising CRNAs: No.
• Are MDs doing their own cases: Yes.
• Other Notes: Beeper call extremely light. In a full year there has only been one call in after 7pm. No ICU so NO emergency cases or very sick patients.
• Credentialing: 90 days.
• $$2,000 referral bonus received for any referral who works 160 hours.
• $Competitive Rate weeknight call Premium if called in, Weekend Call equals 6 Regular Hours Per Day Premium When Called In.
