Job summary

Aya Healthcare is recruiting for a CRNA assignment in Virginia. Start: December-Ongoing. Schedule includes 5 days on, 8-hour blocks with 7:00–7:00 shifts, flexible. Case mix covers General, Surgery, Vascular, Ortho, OB, Neuro, Endo, Dental, with some transplant cases. Level 1 trauma with a burn center (30 ORs).

Supervising anesthesiologists will oversee CRNAs; residents are not supervised by locums. EMR used is EPIC; hospital bed size 837. Malpractice and travel are included.

Qualifications

• Management of complex or difficult airways using fiber-optic equipment.
• Proficiency with difficult IV access including A-Line and Central Line placement.
• Ability to work and lead in a fast-paced team model in the operating room.
• Ability to ambulate and navigate long distances within the operative environment.

Clinical Details:

• Support staff: Admin team, CRNA’s, and other Anes MD’s (The anesthesiologists will supervise CRNA’s, Locums will not be supervising residents).
• Special Procedures: A-Line, Central Line
• Skills required: Management of complex or difficult airways (use of fiber-optic equipment), Proficiency with difficult IV access (A-Line, Central Line), Ability to work and lead in a fast-paced team model work environment, Ability to ambulate and navigate long distances with operative environment
• Case mix - General, Surgery, Vascular, Ortho, OB, Neuro, Endo, Dental, some transplant (No peds or ICU needed)
• Department description: Level 1 trauma with a burn center, 30 OR’s
