Job summary

Aya Locums has an immediate opening for a locum Surgery Vascular physician in Las Cruces, NM. Assignment starts 10-26-26 for 13 weeks.

Position: Physician with Board certification in surgery. Responsibilities include a broad range of procedures, preoperative to postoperative care, and on-call for emergencies. Competitive daily pay ($2700–$3000) and comprehensive support services provided by Aya Locums.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Surgery residency accredited by ACGME or AOA.

Responsibilities

• Perform a range of surgeries including appendectomies, hernia repairs, gallbladder removals, emergency surgeries, and upper and lower endoscopies, among others.
• Provide preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative care.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Be on-call for emergency surgeries, such as trauma cases or unexpected complications.
• Provide consultations to patients and other medical professionals regarding surgical options and care plans.
• Provide patient education about post-operative care and follow-up requirements.
• Maintain accurate and thorough medical records.
