Job summary

Medicus has partnered with a hospital in western Illinois for a locum tenens Pathologist to provide coverage. Schedule is Monday–Friday (8a–4p) on specific dates, with no call requirement.

The position supports ~3,000 surgical pathology cases and ~100 cytology cases annually, covering anatomic, clinical and surgical pathology, cytology, peripheral smear reviews, blood bank, and grossing. Travel and lodging are paid; Cerner is the EMR; board-certified physicians are required.

Qualifications

• Board-certified in pathology required.
• Experience in anatomic, clinical, and surgical pathology preferred.
• Cytology review experience advantageous.
