Job summary

CompHealth is offering locum pathology assignments in Illinois, with Monday–Friday schedules and no call requirements. This role involves approx 12–15 surgical pathology cases per day, with grossing of large specimens and support from histotechnologists.

The position covers anatomic & clinical pathology, cytology, peripheral smear, and blood bank, including FNA cytology (no Pap smears, no bone marrow or autopsies).

Qualifications

• Board certification required.
• Experience with large specimens and grossing.
• Familiarity with anatomic & clinical pathology, cytology, peripheral smear, and blood bank.

Responsibilities

• Approximately 12–15 surgical pathology cases per day.
• Grossing of large specimens; comfortable with large specimens.
• Assist with small biopsies; Cytology including FNA (no Pap smears, no bone marrow, no autopsies).
