Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare seeks an anesthesia provider to cover inpatient cases in a Roanoke, Virginia hospital. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 7am–5pm, with a longer Wednesday shift 8am–6pm. The case mix includes general, orthopedic, and regional anesthesia.

No call responsibilities are required, and the assignment is expected to extend through 2026. Weatherby offers paid malpractice insurance and pre-paid travel and housing expenses.

Qualifications

• Inpatient hospital setting experience preferred.
• General, orthopedic, and regional anesthesia procedures experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coverage needed due to facility growth and additional operating rooms.
• Inpatient hospital anesthesia coverage with schedules from 7am to 5pm (Wednesday 8am–6pm).

Job description

• Monday through Friday 7am - 5pm (Wednesday 8am - 6pm)
• 25% general, 25% complex orthopedic, 15% neuro, 10% complex vascular, 10% OB, 5% thoracic cases
• Inpatient hospital setting

• Coverage needed due to facility growth and additional operating rooms
• General, orthopedic, and regional anesthesia procedures required
• Need will likely extend through 2026
• 500-case log requirement over last 12 months
