Job summary

CompHealth is seeking an inpatient hospitalist for 24-hour remote call coverage in California near Placerville. The role includes newborn and nursery care, obstetric coverage, and ER support with weekend commitments.

You must live within 30 minutes of the hospital and be comfortable with Epic EMR and credentialing processes. The position offers weekly pay arrangements through CompHealth and comprehensive malpractice coverage, with housing and travel coordination provided as part of the

Qualifications

• Inpatient hospitalist duties with 24-hour call requirements.
• Experience covering ER and newborn deliveries when on shift.
• Must be within 30 minutes of the hospital to respond to calls.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient care during on-call hours (Thu 5 pm – Sun 8 pm) and 1–2 weekends per month.
• Cover nursery including newborns, deliveries, C-sections, and high-risk cases.
• Support ER coverage and collaborate with triage and obstetrics teams.
