Job summary

Adelphi Locums is seeking a Board-certified/eligible Emergency Medicine physician for pediatric emergency care in San Antonio, TX. This travel assignment features 12-hour shifts, proctored onboarding, and coverage across CHRISTUS centers.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of pediatric EM experience or documentation of 300 pediatric patients in 12 months, with active Texas medical license and ATLS/PALS certifications. Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance are provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency care to pediatric patients across CHRISTUS centers in San Antonio.
• Work 12-hour shifts (7a–7p or 7p–7a) to ensure 24/7 physician coverage.
• Utilize Epic EMR and Abridge AI scribe for documentation.
• Complete hospital orientation and Epic training; first 3 shifts proctored.
• Coordinate transfer of high-acuity patients to Children's Hospital of San Antonio as needed

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Board: BC/BE in Emergency Medicine, Pediatrics, or Pediatric Emergency Medicine
• Licenses: Active Texas medical license required
• Certifications: ATLS, PALS required
• Experience: Minimum 5 years in Pediatric Emergency Medicine or BC/BE with documentation of 300 pediatric patients in 12 months
• Other Qualifications: Case logs from previous 2 years, Medical Director phone screening required
