Qualifications

• Board-certified/board-eligible in Emergency Medicine or Pediatrics.
• Active Texas medical license required.
• ATLS and PALS certifications required.
• Minimum 5 years in Pediatric Emergency Medicine or approved pediatric case volume.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency care to pediatric patients across CHRISTUS emergency centers in San Antonio.
• Work 12-hour shifts (7a-7p or 7p-7a) to ensure 24/7 physician coverage.
• Utilize Epic EMR and coordinate transfers to Children's Hospital of San Antonio.
• Complete hospital orientation and Epic training; first 3 shifts proctored.
• Coordinate transfer of high-acuity patients as needed.
