Job summary

CompHealth is seeking a gastroenterology locum physician for an outpatient hospital setting in North Carolina. You will perform upper and lower GI endoscopy, colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp excision, sigmoidoscopy, and small bowel biopsy as preferred.

The schedule is Mon–Fri, 7:30 am–3:30 pm (8-hour shifts), with 15 patients per shift and no holidays or on-call requirements. Housing and travel are arranged, and malpractice coverage is included, with streamlined credentialing and a recruiter

Qualifications

• Upper and lower GI endoscopy skills required.
• Colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp excision required.
• Sigmoidoscopy, flexible and rigid, required.
• Small bowel biopsy preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform GI endoscopy and related procedures in an outpatient hospital setting.
• Manage patient flow and provide efficient endoscopy services for 15 patients per shift.
• Maintain high standards of patient safety and procedural accuracy.
• Coordinate with the recruiter and facility to ensure smooth credentialing and privileging.
