Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare is seeking a Physician Assistant to provide on-site cardiovascular/cardiothoracic coverage in Fort Wayne, IN. The assignment features 7 am–7 pm on weekdays with a 7 on/7 off pattern and weekend 24-hour shifts, including approximately 4 hours onsite starting at 6 am.

ACLS/BLS are required, and EVH experience as a CT surgery PA is preferred. The role includes training new APPs and managing inpatient, ER consults, and transfers with a 1:3 call ratio.

Qualifications

• EVH experience required; approx. 500 cases or 10 years experience.
• ACLS and BLS required; cardiothoracic APP experience preferred.
• First assist on cases and help train new APPs on EVH procedures.

Responsibilities

• Inpatient load: 8–10 patients per shift; 3 admissions and 5 phone consults.
• Weekend coverage with 24-hour shifts; on-site support begins around 6 am.
• In-house call at a 1:3 ratio; covers inpatients, ER consults, and transfers.
