Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare is seeking a Locum Tenens PA for Cardiovascular/Cardiothoracic Surgery in Portland, OR. Compensation ranges from $105 to $138 per hour with 4 ten-hour shifts per week, on-call by beeper, and a 1:4 call ratio. Responsibilities include first assist in the OR and inpatient rounding with three APPs.

ACLS and BLS are required. Vein harvest with Maquet equipment is involved. Housing and transportation expenses are covered, and Weatherby provides dedicated consultant support.

• 4 10s per week — 8 am – 5 pm with beeper call
• Call ratio 1:4 — roughly one day per week and one weekend per month
• Weekends: Friday 7 am – Monday 7 am with in-house rounding then beeper
• 10 patients per shift
• Inpatient rounding shared among three APPs
• First assist certified required — OR duties included
• Vein harvest with Maquet equipment — open radial or harmonic scalpel
• ACLS and BLS required
