Qualifications

• OD degree from an accredited optometry program.
• Active Oregon optometry license or ability to obtain before assignment.
• Previous clinical optometry experience required.
• Correctional healthcare experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye examinations and vision screenings.
• Diagnose and manage common eye conditions and diseases.
• Prescribe corrective lenses and medications as appropriate and within licensure.
• Develop treatment plans and arrange follow-up care.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to support continuity of care.
• Educate patients on eye health, vision correction, and preventive care.
• Follow applicable clinical standards and facility protocols.
