Qualifications

• Must have an MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Residency training in ophthalmology accredited by ACGME or AOA.
• Board certification in ophthalmology (ABO or AOBO).
• Active and unrestricted medical license in Oklahoma.
• Minimum of 1 year of clinical ophthalmology experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, treat and manage ocular conditions including glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy.
• Conduct routine and specialized eye exams.
• Perform ophthalmic surgeries such as cataract removal, LASIK, corneal transplants and other eye-related procedures.
• Provide patient education about eye conditions, treatment options, preventive care and post-operative instructions.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Respond to ophthalmic emergencies and provide immediate treatment or referral.
• Maintain accurate and thorough medical records.
