Job summary

77 consultants is seeking board-certified Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants for locum-to-permanent coverage in Virginia clinics (Glen Allen area).

Shifts are 12 hours, 8am-8pm, 3 shifts per week per provider, totaling 9 shifts weekly. Clinicians will perform urgent care procedures, manage acuity variations, and document via Epic EMR.

• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
• Active DEA registration (required)
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in ED/ER, primary care, or urgent care (required)
• Clean background with no malpractice or licensing issues (required)
• Client policy excludes travel costs; candidates must be local or provide inclusive rates (required)

Dates of Coverage: Required for 3 days per week, commencing upon successful credentialing.

Schedule: Clinics operate 7 days a week from 8 AM to 8 PM. Shifts are 12 hours or longer depending on patient volume, with an expectation to manage all patients presenting during operational hours.

Number of Providers Needed: 3 full-time providers (3 shifts per week each, totaling 9 shifts per week)

Practice Setting: Clinic

Patient Population: Comprehensive coverage from birth to end-of-life, with variability in acuity and complexity across different clinics and days.

Patient Care Model: 100% outpatient

Average Patient Volume: Varies by clinic, typically ranging from 25 to 50 patients per day, with higher volumes expected during cold and flu season.

Trauma Level Designation: Primarily episodic care; cases requiring higher acuity will be redirected to emergency departments.
