  • Skin lesion care; orthopedic injury stabilization.
  • Diagnostic and point-of-care testing; EKG interpretation.
  • X-ray interpretation; Epic EMR documentation.
  • Airway support and initial emergency stabilization.
  • Manage patient flow across 3 shifts per week.

Duration

3 days per week, starting upon credentialing until a permanent hire is secured.

Schedule

Clinics operate 7 days a week from 8 AM to 8 PM. Shifts are expected to be 12 hours or longer, dependent on patient flow, with a mandate to treat all patients presenting during operational hours.

Provider Needs
  • Total Providers Required: 3 full-time positions (3 shifts per week each, totaling 9 shifts per week).
Practice Environment
  • Demographics: The patient population ranges from birth to end of life, varying by clinic and day.
  • Outpatient vs. Inpatient Percentage: 100% outpatient care expected.
  • Daily Patient Load: Daily patient volume varies by location, averaging between 25 to 50 patients, with increased traffic anticipated during cold and flu seasons.
  • Trauma Level: Capable of managing episodic care; higher acuity cases will require transfer to higher-level care facilities (ED, ER, etc.).
Core Responsibilities and Skills Required
  • **Procedures:**
  • Laceration repair (simple, intermediate, complex)
  • Incision and drainage (including packing)
  • Foreign body removal
  • Minor burn management
  • Skin lesion care
  • Orthopedic injury stabilization (splinting, casting, joint reduction)
  • Diagnostic and point-of-care testing
  • X-ray interpretation
  • Electrocardiogram (EKG) evaluation
  • Point-of-care lab interpretation (e.g., rapid strep, flu, COVID-19, RSV, urinalysis, blood glucose)
  • Epistaxis management (anterior nasal packing or chemical cautery)
  • Cerumen impaction removal
  • Airway support (e.g., administration of nebulizer treatments, initial emergency stabilization)
  • **Documentation Methodology:** Utilization of Epic EMR system.
Credentialing Insights
  • **Estimated Timeframe:** Credentialing is anticipated to take between 60 to 90 days.
