Qualifications

• Credentialing at the facility within 90–110 days; must perform procedures without restrictions.
• Board certification required for the PA role.

Responsibilities

• Provide first assist in CABG, AVR, MVR and thoracotomy/lung resection cases.
• Perform OR duties: surgical CT, vein harvest, chest tube placement.
• Handle telemetry and ICU duties in addition to OR responsibilities.
• Participate in 1–2 call days per week and one weekend per month.
• Work Monday–Friday 7am–7pm with night call; weekends 24 hours.

The facility offers an inpatient and OR setting with strong support for surgeons and utilizes Epic EMR for streamlined clinical documentation.

Job Details:

• Seeking a certified Physician Assistant proficient in first assisting with CABG, AVR, MVR, and thoracotomy/lung resection cases
• OR duties including surgical CT, vein harvest, and chest tube placement
• Telemetry and ICU duties required in addition to OR responsibilities
• Call duties include 1-2 call days per week and one weekend per month (Friday 7am - Monday 7am)
• Weekend duties include inpatient rounds, procedures, and surgery coverage
• Schedule: Monday - Friday day shift (7am - 7pm) with night call (7pm - 7am)
• Weekend shifts are 24-hour shifts (7am - 7am)
• Patient volume is approximately 1-2 surgeries dailyPRN/as-needed position with inpatient and OR setting
• EMR: Epic
• Active Kentucky state license required
• Board Certification required

• Must be able to be credentialed at the facility; credentialing timeframe is 90-110 days
