Job summary

Palm Careers is hiring a Board Certified Neurocritical Care Intensivist for a 6-month locum assignment in New Jersey. The physician will cover a 15-bed neurocritical care unit, supervise APPs, and provide 24/7 oversight, with rounds daily on all service patients and consult notes.

Onsite presence is required for partial days, with after-hours availability by phone and callbacks in extreme situations. EPIC is the electronic medical record used for documentation in an adult level 1 Trauma center.

Qualifications

• BC/BE completion of fellowship in Neurocritical Care
• Board certification or board eligibility in Neurocritical Care (ABPN/UCNS/CAST)

Job description

We are hiring an Board Certified Neurocritical Care Intensivist for a 6 month locum assignment in NJ!

This physician will be providing coverage for a 15 bed neurocritical care unit, supervising APP's, who provide 24/7 coverage. Physician is expected to round daily on all service patients, write consult notes, provide 24/7 oversight of APP coverage. Provider will only be onsite for a portion of the day, with availability by phone thereafter and call back in extreme situations. This is an adult level 1 Trauma center, but trauma patients go to the Trauma/Surgical ICU.

• Bedside procedures – CVC placement, arterial catheterization, lumbar puncture.
• Schedule: 7 day, 24 hours per dat coverage, if possible. Monday 8am Through Monday 8am.
• Patient Load: 10-20 patients per day.
• BC/BE Completion of fellowship training with board certification/board eligibility in Neurocritical Care through the ABPN, UCNS < and/or CAST.
