Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare is seeking a locum tenens cardiologist for ongoing assignments in Fort Smith, AR. The role includes in-house call about five days per month (Mon–Fri) with 15–20 patients seen during call periods.

STEMI call coverage is required with response times under 30 minutes; interventional cardiology procedures are part of the duties on assignment, with paid malpractice, pre-paid travel and housing, and 24/7 consultant support.

Qualifications

• In-house call with defined monthly frequency.
• Experience or capability in interventional cardiology procedures.
• Ability to cover STEMI calls with rapid response.
• Locum tenens experience preferred or willingness to assume short-term assignments.
• Excellent clinical judgment and patient care during call periods.

Responsibilities

• In-house call — 5 days per month, Monday - Friday.
• See 15 - 20 patients during the call period.
• STEMI call coverage required; respond within 30 minutes.
• Interventional cardiology procedures required during coverage.
• Assignment details entered in online portal; travel and housing arranged.
