Job summary

Aya Locums in Ogden, UT has an immediate opening for a locum Surgery Cardiothoracic Physician for a 13-week assignment starting 11-02-26, with a 24-hour on-call schedule.

You will perform a range of cardiothoracic procedures, provide preoperative to postoperative care, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Board certification, active Utah license, and ACLS are required.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Residency training in surgery accredited by ACGME/AOA.
• Board certification in surgery (ABS).
• Active and unrestricted Utah medical license.
• ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform a range of surgeries including general procedures as required.
• Provide preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative care.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop care plans.
• Be on-call for emergency surgeries (trauma, complications).
• Provide patient consultations on surgical options and care plans.
• Educate patients on postoperative care and follow-up requirements.
• Maintain accurate medical records throughout care.
