Job summary

CompHealth seeks a surgeon to provide 24-hour call coverage in Oklahoma, handling ED cases including laparotomy, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, and bowel obstruction. Robotic capabilities are available, and some cases may involve I&D or port placements.

Expectation includes a 30-minute response time, approximately 2–3 ED calls per day, and coordination with the recruiter for housing, travel, and credentialing support. This is a full-time opportunity with weekly operations support.

Qualifications

• Laparoscopic surgery experience is required.
• Robotic surgery capability available.
• 24-hour call coverage with 30-minute response time.
• 2-3 patient calls from ED per day on average.
• Common cases include laparotomy, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, bowel obstruction.
• Additional cases include I&D and port placements.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour on-call coverage with a 30-minute response time.
• Manage 2-3 ED patient calls per day on average, with calls potentially leading to surgeries.
• Perform surgeries such as laparotomy, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, and bowel obstruction repairs.
• Take on additional I&D and port placements as needed.
• Utilize laparoscopic and robotic surgery capabilities when available.
