Job summary

Smile Brands is seeking a locum dentist to provide high-quality patient care with flexible scheduling and travel expense coverage. Short and long-term contracts are available across 30 states, offering autonomy and diverse practice exposure.

Responsibilities include comprehensive exams, patient education, team leadership, and meticulous record-keeping. Active US licensure, CPR, and DEA (or in process) are required; sponsorship is available for qualified candidates.

Qualifications

• DDS or DMD from an accredited school.
• Active state dental license required.
• CPR Certification required; DEA license or in process.
• Controlled Substance License if required by the state.

• Conduct thorough dental examinations, diagnose oral health issues, and develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment maintenance to promote long-term oral health.
• Lead your team, dental assistants, hygienists, and other staff members to ensure smooth patient care and treatment coordination.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment plans, procedures performed, and patient progress.
• Stay updated on advancements in dentistry, attend seminars, and pursue ongoing education to provide the latest and best treatments.
• Adhere to ethical and legal standards, following regulatory guidelines and ensuring patient confidentiality.

Schedule (days/hours)

Monday-Wed 8-5, lunch 1-2 Thurs 8-4, lunch 12-1. Friday only if locum wants
