Job summary

CompHealth is seeking an inpatient gastroenterologist for North Carolina to cover hospital-based GI cases. The role involves 7 am–5 pm shifts, with weekend call and a 1:4 call ratio. Procedures include EGD, colonoscopy, PEG, and lower GI work, plus small bowel and sigmoidoscopy skills as needed.

Expect ongoing assignments, weekly pay arrangements, and complimentary housing plus travel. Your dedicated recruiter will handle credentialing and privileges for a seamless onboarding.

Qualifications

• Inpatient gastroenterology coverage for hospital-based work.
• Involvement with endoscopic procedures and urgent care.
• Ability to manage beeper call and 1:4 call ratio.
• Experience with endoscopic and GI procedures preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient gastroenterology coverage.
• Rounding with 10–15 patients per shift.
• Perform Upper GI endoscopy, colonoscopy, PEG and lower GI procedures.
• Beeper call with a 15–30 minute response time and 1:4 call ratio.
• Provide ongoing coverage—one week per month plus one weekend call per month.
• Collaborate with recruiter and use online portal for assignment details.
