Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare is seeking a locum tenens gastroenterologist for Missouri. Inpatient coverage is 7 am–7 pm with a 14 on/14 off call schedule, plus outpatient clinic 8 am–5 pm, Monday–Friday.

Expect ~15–16 clinic patients daily and ~12 hospital patients daily, with a heavy emphasis on GI endoscopy and related biopsies. Procedures include upper GI endoscopy, ERCP, PEG, EUS, colonoscopy, and liver biopsy, plus esophageal dilatation and manometry.

Qualifications

• Hospital privileges required.
• Endoscopy and biopsy procedures required.
• Inpatient gastroenterology focus with clinic work 8 am–5 pm

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient gastroenterology coverage from 7 am to 7 pm (14 on, 14 off with call).
• Clinic coverage 8 am–5 pm, Monday to Friday.
• Perform upper GI endoscopy, ERCP, PEG, EUS, colonoscopy and liver biopsy as required.
• Esophageal dilatation, manometry, flexible and rigid sigmoidoscopy as required.
• Document and manage patient care in the online portal.
