Job summary

Aya Locums is seeking an experienced locum Gastroenterologist in Longview, WA to cover a 13-week assignment at an acute care hospital. The role includes scheduled shifts with on-call requirements and a 5/8 schedule, starting 12-07-26.

Compensation is $400–$450 per day, with ongoing credentialing and travel support provided by Aya Locums. This assignment offers diverse hospital settings and opportunities to manage a broad range of GI conditions.

Qualifications

• MD/DO from an accredited medical school and WA license.
• Board certification in gastroenterology with active WA license.
• Gastroenterology fellowship may be preferred depending on position.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and treat digestive disorders in adults (and children if applicable).
• Take patient histories and perform physical examinations.
• Order and interpret tests (endoscopies, X-rays, CTs, labs).
• Perform endoscopic procedures when scope allows.
• Develop and implement treatment plans.
• Coordinate care with surgeons, radiologists and specialists.
• Educate patients on digestive health and prevention.
• Maintain complete medical records and stay current with advancements.
