Job summary

Aya Locums seeks an Emergency Medicine physician for an immediate Lecanto, FL locum tenens assignment. The position offers shift coverage with no call, roughly 19:00–07:00, for a 13-week term in an acute care hospital ED.

Expect MD or DO with board certification in EM and FL license. The role emphasizes prompt assessments, rapid decision-making and collaboration with hospital staff to ensure patient safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board certification in emergency medicine or eligible for ABEM/ABIM/ABFM/AOA.
• Active and unrestricted Florida medical license.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt and comprehensive emergency care to patients in the ED.
• Perform trauma and acute-care procedures as needed.
• Stabilize patients, order and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Develop and implement treatment plans; document care thoroughly.
• Communicate with patients, families and staff to coordinate care.
