Job summary

Aya Locums has an immediate opening for a locum Surgery Cardiothoracic physician in Germantown, TN, paying $280–$300 per hour. Start date 01-09-27 for 13 weeks.

Shift coverage is Scheduled + On Call with standard 5, 8-Hour shifts from 07:00 to 17:00 in an acute care hospital. Responsibilities include performing a wide range of surgeries, providing preoperative to postoperative care, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and being on-call for emergencies.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board certification in surgery (ABS).
• Active Tennessee medical license.
• ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of general surgeries including appendectomies, hernia repairs, gallbladder removals and emergency surgeries.
• Provide preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative care.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop patient care plans.
• Be on-call for emergency surgeries, such as trauma cases.
• Provide consultations on surgical options and care plans.
• Educate patients about postoperative care and follow-up requirements.
• Maintain accurate medical records.
