Job summary

Aya Locums has an immediate opening for a locum Surgery Cardiothoracic physician in Germantown, TN, paying $280/hour - $300/hour. Start date 01-09-27 for a 13-week assignment.

The position requires ABS board certification, an active Tennessee medical license, ACLS, and on-call coverage. You will perform a broad range of general surgeries, provide perioperative care, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school and surgical residency.
• ABS board certification and Tennessee license with ACLS.
• At least one year of clinical surgical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform a range of surgeries including appendectomies, hernia repairs, gallbladder removals, emergency surgeries, and upper and lower endoscopies.
• Provide preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative care.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Be on-call for emergency surgeries, such as trauma cases or unexpected complications.
• Provide consultations to patients and other medical professionals regarding surgical options and care plans.
• Provide patient education about post-operative care and follow-up requirements.
• Maintain accurate and thorough medical records.
