Job summary

Palm Careers is seeking an immediate Locum Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner in Pennsylvania for a 6-month assignment. The role spans OR duties, ICU care, consults, and clinic work with a full scope in cardiothoracic surgery.

The schedule is 4x10s or 3x12s with on-call every 5 weekends; calls from home. Housing and travel are provided, with premium pay and overtime for hours over 40. EPIC EMR experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Proficient in Endoscopic Vein Harvesting and cardiac surgical assisting.
• Experience in a cardiothoracic setting is required.
• Locum/temporary coverage with 6-month duration preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work primarily in the operating room on cardiothoracic cases.
• Provide consults, ICU/stepdown patient management, and clinic duties.
• Participate in on-call rotation every 5 weekends; call from home.

Job description

Immediate Locum Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant / Nurse Practitioner candidates for a 6 month assignment in Pennsylvania !

Full Continuum of Care Cardiothoracic PA role! Mostly OR, but some ICU floor time will be needed.

We average 600 heart cases per year. A PA coming to this practice should expect to fulfill a full scope role including consults, operating room, ICU and step down patient management, and clinic duties.

The Candidate would work 4 10s or 3 12s at minimum! On Call every 5 weekends. Usually 6am-6pm. Call is 6pm-6:30am.

Weekend Shifts Hours from 6am-6pm is in house. Weekend call is Friday 6pm through Monday 6:30am. All calls are from home, not in-house.

Our locums are treated like a family member! Premium Pay $120-140 per hour, plus 1.5 X overtime over 40 hours, premium on call pay, paid housing and travel, Virtual Credit Cards-Autonomy to chose housing, Top Rated Paid Mal Practice and Personal Attention to every last need! Proficiency in maquet endoscopic vein harvest is required. Experience with EPIC EMR would be preferred.
