Job summary

Palm Careers is seeking an experienced Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant for a locum opportunity near Champaign, IL, 2.5 hours south of Chicago and 90 minutes west of Indianapolis. You will join a team of 2 cardiac surgeons and six advanced practice providers at a top regional heart center. Start in early November for a 6-month assignment.

Hours are Mon-Fri 0700-1600 with occasional call. We offer 1099 compensation, travel coverage, and a flexible schedule that can be full-time or 3 weeks per

Qualifications

• Active IL license required.
• ACLS certification required.
• EVH training/credential recommended.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in adult cardiothoracic surgery.
• Assist cardiac surgeons in procedures such as CABG, AVR, MVR, and ECMO.
• Deliver care as part of a team with two cardiac surgeons and six AP providers.

Job description

We are hiring an experienced Cardiothoracic Physician Assistant LOCUM near Champaign, IL (2.5 hours south of Chicago and 90 minutes west of Indianapolis, 2 hours from St. Louis!)! In this LOCUM role you will work with a wonderful, professional and focused team in central Illinois.

Join a team of 2 Cardiac Surgeons and six Advanced Practice Providers, state of the art heart center, recently recognized as Top in the nation for cardiac surgery and best in the region for cardiac care and cardiac surgery in addition to a five-star rating for bypass surgery and treatment of heart attacks and heart failure!

Start: Early November

End: 6-months

Hours: M-F 0700-1600

Occasional Call

We can accommodate full time or even 3 weeks per month!!

Practice scope includes adult cardiothoracic surgery – CABG, AVR, MVR, ECMO.
