Job summary

Palm Careers is seeking an experienced cardiothoracic physician assistant for a full-time locum contract in Illinois. The role requires ECMO and endoscopic vein harvesting experience, with on-call weekends and coverage at two hospitals located about two hours from Chicago.

The candidate should hold an active Illinois license (or be highly qualified without one) and possess BLS/ACLS certifications. Travel, rental car or mileage reimbursement, and malpractice coverage are provided, with overtime

Qualifications

• Extensive CT surgery experience as a PA/APP.
• ECMO and endoscopic vein harvesting experience required.
• Active Illinois PA license preferred; will consider non-licensed with proven skills.
• BLS and ACLS certification required.
• COVID vaccine proof required.

Responsibilities

• Provide CT surgery coverage at two Illinois hospitals with on-call weekends.
• Overtime after 40 hours and overtime pay for call back.
• Travel and lodging support provided.
• Locum full-time schedule: Mon–Fri; weekend on-call responsibilities.
