Responsibilities include operating locomotives and switches, performing inspections, and maintaining equipment while adhering to regulations. Strong customer service and safety focus are essential, with opportunities for training and career growth.

Qualifications

• Experience as Locomotive Operator is preferred.
• Previous experience in a customer oriented environment is preferred.
• Ability to read and write general documentation including safety briefings and switching lists.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe operation of the locomotive and train movements, including briefings.
• Follow rules, instructions, and switching procedures while operating locomotives or grounds personnel.
• Provide protection of train, track and equipment.
• Perform plant and equipment inspections, including air brake tests.
• Comply with operating rules, procedures, regulations, and promote safe work habits.
• Keep locomotive interiors safe, clean, and tidy.
• Complete daily inspections and testing of locomotive brakes and safety devices.
• Complete daily reports and logs as required for the customer or Cando.
• Actively participate with the team and provide excellent customer service while promoting the company image.
• Participate in training or company initiatives as required.
