Qualifications

• Prior experience with similar equipment or machinery is required.
• Ability to read and follow simple instructions and respond to standard situations.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic and read measurements.
• Basic reading skills for manuals, regulations, and reports.
• Ability to communicate in English via two-way radio and complete paperwork.
• High School Diploma or equivalent and strong safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Safely manage rail movements and operate locomotives.
• Direct train movements and inspect track conditions.
• Maintain and clean locomotives and railyard.
• Complete forms reporting mechanical issues to shop staff.
• Coordinate with truckers and customers and document downtime.
• Assist with track repairs and railcar inspections.
