Job summary

UTLX, part of Marmon Holdings backed by Berkshire Hathaway, seeks new team members for its Evanston, Wyoming rail tank car repair shop. You will join a production team performing locomotive operations, car movements, and yard switching with emphasis on safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma, GED, or pass a Combined Basic Skills Test.
• Experience in machine operation and ability to work in a union setting.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with minimal supervision.
• Strong safety and quality focus, and willingness to wear PPE.
• Must have valid driver’s license and be available for all shifts.

Responsibilities

• Operates locomotive to transport material and spot rail cars per switch list.
• Operate locomotives in congested areas with caution to prevent damage.
• Direct flow of cars in rail yard and maintain tidiness.
• Follow safety rules and report hazards and issues promptly.
