You will perform inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance on locomotives and related equipment, ensuring reliability and safety. • Knowledge of power and hydraulic tools.
• Welding and oxygen/acetylene torching experience.

R. J. Corman Railroad Company is currently seeking a Locomotive Mechanicto join our team inLexington, KY.

Responsibilities:

• Locomotive andFRA inspections.
• Locomotive repairs including mechanical, air and electrical.
• Performs preventative maintenance on company locomotives and equipment.
• Freight car repair and general equipment repairsif necessary.
• Troubleshoots and repairs equipment as needed.
• Maintain safe and clean work area.

Specialized or Technical Knowledge, or Education and Experience:

• Experienced in Locomotive inspections and repair.
• Experienced in FRA inspections.
• Ability to travel extensively.
• Knowledge of power and hydraulic tools.
• Welding and oxygen/acetylene torching experience.

Physical Requirements:

• Experienced in locomotive and FRA inspections.
• Ability to travel if necessary.
• Ability to work unconventional shifts and be on-call.
• Locomotive repairs including mechanical, air and electrical.
• Knowledge of power and hydraulic tools.

Environmental Conditions:

• Must be able to perform specified duties outside in all weather conditions.
