Job summary

PSC Group is seeking a Supervisor, Operations to lead field activities and drive safe, efficient performance across locomotive maintenance operations. The role involves coordinating with field teams, customers, and PSC site supervisors to plan, schedule, and oversee maintenance and inspections.

The position requires strong communication, safety leadership, and hands-on experience with industrial operations. On-site work with occasional travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate clearly in English (read, write, speak)
• Regular on-site attendance and punctuality
• Ability to work outdoors in extreme heat or cold
• Willingness to work around chemicals, fumes, and other environmental conditions typical of an industrial facility
• Ability to wear and pass PPE-related medical examinations

Responsibilities

• Clearly communicates goals around operating performance
• Participates in safety meetings and training initiatives
• Performs safety observations in the field and identifies trends or areas of improvement
• Ensures incidents are investigated and participates in significant incidents
• Works with field employees and customers to identify improvements and implement them
• Identifies future leaders and creates development plans
• Performs annual performance evaluations with field employees
• Coordinates and leads daily safety and job briefing meetings with locomotive technicians across multiple locations
• Plans, schedules, and prioritizes locomotive maintenance and repair activities with PSC site supervisors
• Schedules and tracks FRA-required inspections and maintenance for locomotive fleet
• Maintains maintenance planning records and communicates upcoming inspections and service schedules
