Job summary

TGS Cedar Port Railroad in Baytown, TX seeks a Locomotive Engineer to operate diesel-electric locomotives and move freight safely within an industrial park/rail terminal.

You will inspect locomotives, maintain records, and comply with FRA and company safety rules. The role requires strong attention to safety and documentation.

This position involves outside work in varying weather and a variable schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Must pass pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
• Must pass pre-employment background/driving record screening.
• Must pass pre-employment medical screening and physical assessment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect locomotives and perform running maintenance before operation.
• Maintain accurate written and electronic documentation and prepare necessary materials as required.
• Observe and comply with all company policies, railroad rules and regulations pertaining to safety, operations, and the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA).
• Perform additional duties as assigned by a supervisor.
