Job summary

FlyLock Security Solutions in North Seattle is seeking a Security Technician / Locksmith for commercial doors and access control. You will install, repair, and service door hardware and electronic access systems, and support master key projects.

We offer paid training, a company vehicle after training, and opportunities to grow into a lead technician as the North Seattle territory expands.

Qualifications

• Experience in locksmithing, door hardware installation, access control or related mechanical trades preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with tools.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage service calls.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain commercial door hardware and locking systems.
• Perform lock re-keying and cylinder pinning on commercial and residential locks.
• Install and service electronic access control systems and card readers.
• Assist with master key system creation and maintenance.
• Troubleshoot lock and door hardware issues at customer sites.
• Complete service documentation and job reports.
• Support small installation projects as assigned.

Our services include commercial door hardware installation, master key systems, re-keying, and electronic access control solutions. We are building a strong local team focused on quality work, professionalism, and long-term customer relationships. This position offers the opportunity to grow into a lead technician role as the North Seattle territory expands.

Typical Work

• Commercial door hardware installation
• Lock rekeying and master key system work
• Access control installation and service
• Business lockouts and service calls
• Preventative maintenance and security upgrades

Key Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain commercial door hardware and locking systems
• Perform lock re-keying and cylinder pinning on commercial and residential locks
• Install and service electronic access control systems and card readers
• Assist with master key system creation and maintenance
• Troubleshoot lock and door hardware issues at customer sites
• Perform scheduled service work orders for commercial clients
• Maintain service equipment and tools in proper working order
• Communicate professionally with customers on job sites

Operations Support

• Follow work orders and service schedules
• Complete service documentation and job reports
• Support small installation projects as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in locksmithing, door hardware installation, access control, or related mechanical trades preferred
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to work with tools
• Experience with commercial door hardware is a plus
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage service calls

Physical Requirements

• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Work on ladders and install or service overhead door hardware
• Kneel, crouch, and work in tight spaces
• Work indoors and outdoors year-round

Compensation & Benefits

• $26–$34 per hour depending on experience
