Job summary

Broadlawns Medical Center is seeking a Maintenance Worker II to perform skilled hospital maintenance across campus, including locksmith, carpentry, and general upkeep. You will operate tools and vehicles, assist with construction-related tasks, and manage maintenance requests to keep facilities safe and functional.

We require the ability to read blueprints, pass MECH certification within a year, and hold a valid Iowa driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and drawings.
• Experience with locksmith, carpentry, and building systems is a plus.
• Ability to follow safety regulations and hospital policies.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, specs, and project information.
• Perform skilled maintenance and repair of hospital buildings and systems.
• Operate hand/power tools, ladders, lifts, and equipment safely.
• Coordinate with other Plant Operations staff and contractors as needed.
• Maintain documentation of preventive and corrective maintenance and work orders.
