Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a building trades capacity preferred.
• Must have valid driver’s license and proof of insurability.
• Training or equivalent experience in carpentry, electrical, plumbing, reading blueprints, boiler operation and mechanics preferred.
• Ability to read, comprehend and communicate effectively in English.
• Ability to read mechanical or construction information and apply to his/her work.
• Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple work duties.
• Knowledge of tools, test equipment, and general maintenance responsibilities preferred.
• Decision-making and problems solving skills related to the duties and functions within this job description.
• Ability to work cooperatively as a member of a team.
• Strong Mechanical and HVAC aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintenance and upkeep of the building and grounds.
• Repair systems and equipment and support preventive maintenance.
• Take on-call responsibilities during non-working hours on a rotating basis.
• Participate in performance improvement activities.
