Job summary

Missouri State University is hiring a Locksmith I — Key Control at the Springfield Campus. The role involves administering the university's key control program, issuing and recovering campus keys, maintaining records, and assisting locksmith operations.

The position requires basic locksmith exposure and strong record-keeping skills. This is a full-time, non-exempt, on-site role with day shifts 8:00 AM–4:30 PM; open to current MSU employees represented by IBEW.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with records, inventories, security records, or related admin tasks.
• Ability to read English and operate databases and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Process key requests, issue and recover keys, and maintain key control records.
• Audit key inventories and assist with routine rekeying activities.
• Support locksmith shop operations and assist higher-level locksmith personnel.
