Job summary

Oklahoma State University Stillwater seeks a motivated Locksmith to join the Facilities Management Keys department. The role provides, maintains, repairs, installs, and manages campus locking and access control systems to ensure security of facilities, employees, students, and assets.

The candidate will handle mechanical locks, electronic access, key control, and door hardware while following university security policies.

Qualifications

• High School/GED or equivalent by start date.
• Locksmith I: 2 years with key-cutting machines or related experience.
• Locksmith II: 3 years with key-cutting equipment or related experience.
• Locksmith Lead: 4 years with key-cutting equipment, leadership, and FM program exposure.

Responsibilities

• Provide, maintain, repair, install, and manage campus locking and access control systems.
• Support mechanical locks, electronic access, key control, and door hardware.
• Operate department vehicles and maintain equipment; report issues promptly.
• Cut keys by code, duplicate keys, and maintain key records.
• Record daily notes in CMMS and work orders; work with a diverse campus community.
