Job summary

Allegion is seeking a Material Specialist in Colorado Springs to receive, stage, issue and deliver materials to support production schedules and customer orders. You will operate forklift and other handling equipment, perform cycle counts, and record transactions in ERP/MRP systems.

You will collaborate with teammates, engineers and quality control, maintain a safe, organized workspace, and adapt to changing processes.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience: 6 months to 1 year of material handling and inventory experience.
• Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with material handling and inventory control.
• Basic computer literacy.

Responsibilities

• Material Movement: Receive, stage, issue and deliver materials to support production schedules and orders; operate forklift, pallet jacks and other equipment; perform cycle counts and ERP/MRP data entry.
• Quality Assurance: Inspect incoming materials and report discrepancies; assist with inventory documentation.
• Safety Compliance: Follow safety protocols and use PPE; maintain clean, safe work areas.
• Collaboration and Communication: Work with team members, supervisors, engineers and QC to address challenges and report progress.
• Workspace Maintenance: Keep workspace clean and organized; store tools properly.
• Flexibility and Adaptability: Work overtime when needed; cross-train in other areas and adapt to new processes.
