Job summary

ENTRUST Solutions Group is seeking a Locator Technician to support our gas utility team in Colorado or Nebraska. The role focuses on locating and marking utilities, using maps and blueprints, and maintaining detailed DPRs.

You will travel as needed and collaborate with clients and internal teams to ensure accuracy and compliance. The position emphasizes field professionalism, adherence to standards, and clear communication with customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Willingness to travel.
• Prior field and/or locator experience preferred.
• DOT (compliant) drug screen must be passed.
• Possession of a valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all field locate & mark activities adhere to the company specifications and standards.
• Responsible for the ongoing compliance of all line locate & mark procedures and providing the best possible field assurance services to the client’s operations.
• Maintain well documented Daily Progress Reports (DPRs)
• Utilize maps and blueprints to identify and mark the location of utilities such as gas and electric lines if applicable.
• Document interactions, site information and utilities in organizational software.
• Communicate with customers and internal leadership.
• Use a variety of techniques including electronic, magnetic, blueprint analysis, and/or radar to locate utilities.
• Provide daily and weekly production data reports.
• Post informational door tags/letters notifying residents of our inspection procedures,
• Maintain a professional relationship with client and their contractors other team members, and consistently deliver excellent client work.
