Job summary

Prairieland FS is seeking a Location Manager to lead daily operations at our Illinois site. You will supervise staff, manage scheduling, inventory, and logistics, and ensure profitability through planning and process excellence.

Ideal candidates bring a Bachelor's in a related field, strong leadership, and experience in agricultural retail operations. This role requires fieldwork capability and safety compliance leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of retail agricultural products.
• Experience with agricultural technology and precision farming tools.
• Supervisory experience to manage a location is preferred.
• Experience in agricultural retail operations is preferred.
• Proficient in MS Office for reporting and planning.
• Physical ability to perform fieldwork and operate equipment.

Responsibilities

• Hires, supervises, leads, and develops employees to operate the location.
• Schedule, inventory control, and shipping/receiving of products.
• Oversee plant operations including blending, handling ag chemicals and seed products.
• Maintain equipment, rolling stock, and facilities appearance.
• Attend meetings and provide professional development.
• Conduct performance evaluations and staff development.
• Oversee daily operations including product handling and logistics.
• Build relationships with customers and provide product advice.
• Respond to inquiries and resolve issues to ensure satisfaction.
• Manage operational budget and contribute to annual budgeting.
