Job summary

Aurora Cooperative Elevator Company is seeking an Assistant Location Manager for its agronomy and grain location in Nebraska. You will support daily operations, oversee staff, and coordinate logistics for seed, fertilizer, crop protection products, and grain movement.

The role emphasizes safety, customer service, and efficiency, with responsibilities across inventory, scheduling, and maintenance of equipment. A collaborative, hands-on leader is ideal for peak seasons.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of experience in agronomy & grain operations or related field.
• Valid driver’s license; ability to obtain DOT medical card if required.
• Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons.
• Experience leading teams or supervising employees.
• CDL (Class A or B) and/or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing daily location operations, including product receiving, blending, loading, application scheduling, and deliveries.
• Support excellent customer service by working with growers and internal teams to ensure accurate orders and timely fulfillment.
• Help coordinate applicator schedules, tender operations, trucking loads and assist dispatching to meet seasonal demands.
• Assist in supervising location employees (seasonal and full-time), including training and coaching.
• Promote a positive team culture focused on safety, quality, and customer service.
