Netflix seeks an experienced Machine Learning Scientist for the Localization Data Science and Engineering team. You will build causal and ML models to evaluate localization algorithms, partner with engineers and product managers, and shape strategy to improve member experience across language preferences.

You'll work with a cross‑functional team to guide localization algo development, measure impact, and present insights to stakeholders while advancing localization research globally.

Qualifications

• Proven track record researching and leading Causal Inference, ML, and AI Evaluation methods.
• 4+ years of relevant experience with Causal Inference and Machine Learning applications.
• High proficiency in R, Python, and SQL.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with strong business acumen.
• Comfortable with ambiguity; takes ownership with minimal oversight.

Responsibilities

• Act as strategic partner for researchers and engineers to guide localization algo development.
• Define and execute roadmaps for measuring localization member impact using causal inference and ML tools.
• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and data scientists to refine and scale findings.
• Present research and insights to all levels of the company.
• Become a regional expert on Localization Data Science and Engineering and educate regional offices.
