Job summary

Ryder Supply Chain Solutions in Indianapolis, IN is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver for a local, home-daily route. Expect 35+ hours weekly, weekly pay, and paid training. Start times around 6:00 AM with a Monday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday schedule and a 100-mile local radius.

Trucks are Dry Van with USPS freight and no touch freight on most assignments. Benefits include medical, dental & vision after 30 days, PTO from day 1, uniforms and boot allowance, and a 401(k) with company match

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old.
• Must pass Ryder Drug Test and background check.
• Must have a valid Class A CDL with endorsements.
• Must pass a DOT physical and a Ryder road test.
• Experience: 9 months in past 3 years, or 2 years in past 5 years, or 5 years in past 10 years.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal/state laws and regulations.
• Maintain accurate records and logs.
• Load/unload freight or assist as required by customer.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Hourly Pay: $28.27 Per Hour + possible $6.16 Health & Welfare Stipend*

Requirements

• Minimum 21 years of age
• Pass a Ryder Drug Test
• Pass a Ryder Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 years
• Pass a DOT physical
• Pass a Ryder road test
• Provide appropriate CDL and endorsements for the position
• Must have Class A verifiable experience in a tractor trailer or comparable vehicle:
  • 9 months experience within the past 3 years, OR
  • 2 years’ experience within the last 5 years, OR
  • 5 years’ experience within the last 10 years
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations policies and/or procedures
